Plenty of time and patience available for someone who has found they need a little more assistance with their day to day life, whether it be help with the housework, meal preparations, shopping or assistance of a more personal level. I have 16 years care experience ranging from Nursing care, adults with learning disabilities, brain and spine injuries, specialist neurological conditions (i.e multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Huntingdon's disease, motor neurone) and have experience as a Dementia Facilitator. I am also proficient with peg feeding, catheters and stoma care. As is customary with the Healthcare profession I have attended all the usual annual courses that are mandatory to practice and have also attended extra courses that I have been privileged to have been offered for extra skills and experience. I believe that it is imperative that the person requesting assistance is as involved in the time and help they receive as much as is practicably possible. Getting to know as much as possible about the individual I feel is paramount to building a trusting and comfortable relationship which is needed especially when assisting people in their own homes.
